Announcing Our Partnership with Monrovia Community Adult School
When it comes to caring for the elderly, it takes not only a passion to help others, but also a dedication to training and education. At New Wave Home Care, we like to think of ourselves as a caring agency with passion. We believe in making every day count for our clients by providing safety and companionship to Active Daily Living. “Joy knows no Age Limit,” and we provide more than just meal preparation or medication management. We hire and work with extraordinary people who share smiles and stories with our senior clients, rewarding them a happy and fun life.
In order to meet the goal of providing excellent care, highly trained staff is essential.
The New Wave Home Care team is aware of the need to provide quality education to those who will care for the seniors enrolled in our home care services, which is why we are excited to announce that we have partnered with the Monrovia Community Adult School. Through our relationship, potential caregivers will now be referred to Monrovia Adult School for CNA & HHA education.
New Wave Home Care will also be participating in bringing industry level training opportunities to the Monrovia Community Adult School students. Our team will be teaching classes, discussing careers in health care sector, and recruiting graduates to join our staff.
Kicking off our partnership with a bang!
To help kick off this partnership, Kati Chick, Career Developer at the Monrovia Community Adult School, and Susan Callens, a Registered Nurse with New Wave Home Care, teamed up to speak to the 2019 graduating class about the importance of educating caregivers in an industry that is quickly growing to meet the needs of the geriatric population.
Susan introduced the students to Eliut Gonzales and Anne Bollman from the Human Resources Department and recruiting team, commending them for their hard work in finding educated, compassionate individuals who deliver the best services to the agency. She also revealed that two registered nurses have already been recruited to join the New Wave Home Care team, encouraging other students to work hard and continue reaching for their career goals.
In addition to sharing career prospects, the presentation also introduced students to the history of New Wave Home care, which began with, Santosh Gopinathan — a dedicated and compassionate problem solver who has placed importance on hiring a well-trained and tightly screened team to care for the New Wave Home Care clients.
Built on Compassion and Proven Methodology.
The New Wave Home Care team shared with students that statistics prove most people are healthier and happier living in their own environment, explaining that Sam built the New Wave Home care agency to meet this goal, allowing clients to enjoy the comforts of their own home.
The team also explained why it is important to go above and beyond expectations to help support clients in their care needs. The New Wave Home Care motto, It takes hands to build a house, but a heart to build a home, is something we feel caregivers can bring with them to their future jobs. Through the partnership with the Monrovia Community Adult School, New Wave Home Care will be able to not only support students in their healthcare journey, but also recruit standout students to join the team.
